October Food Penpal Reveal!

The Lean Green Bean

A huge THANK YOU to Lindsay at The Lean Green Bean for hosting this foodie party!!

This month I sent my package to Leslie at My Kitchen Is Open. If you’re curious to see what I sent her, then head on over to her blog and check it out!

Jenni sent me my package this month and she was bold honest enough to tell me that it was her first month. Congrats Jenni for being honest and asking for any tips. I gave her loads that I learned along the way since I’ve been partying with Lindsay. =) She doesn’t have a blog listed otherwise I’d totally direct you to it so you can be friends! The correspondence was on point and simply honest. Yeah, she totally rocks. Not to mention that she’s the mommy of a newborn (she also has a 1 year old), so to have the time to email me and even check out my blog in between her busy hours, she deserves major kudos!

Being that she’s a newbie {and I say it with love!}, she totally passed with FLYING COLORS! I think I started drooling from the minute I saw the first item. {Anything dark chocolate automatically wins my heart!}

I haven’t found the Iron Girl bars in any of the stores here after having my first one from my April Foodie Penpal, so I was extremely excited to see the cocoa crunch!! Uh, yum! I really need to find these here! Need more of this flavor!!

It’s a good thing I had to go back to work. I probably would have ate the whole jar right then and there! The recipe cards she include in the package calls for that biscoff spread, so I can’t wait to try it out!

Thank you sooooo much Jenni!!

Wanna join in the fun next month?
Lindsay of The Lean Green Bean organizes Foodie Penpals, so in her word’s here’s what it’s all about!
-On the 5th of every month, you will receive your penpal pairing via email. It will be your responsibility to contact your penpal and get their mailing address and any other information you might need like allergies or dietary restrictions.
-You will have until the 15th of the month to put your box of goodies in the mail. On the last day of the month, you will post about the goodies you received from your penpal!
-The boxes are to be filled with fun foodie things, local food items or even homemade treats! The spending limit is $15. The box must also include something written. This can be anything from a note explaining what’s in the box, to a fun recipe…use your imagination!
-You are responsible for figuring out the best way to ship your items depending on their size and how fragile they are. (Don’t forget about flat rate boxes!)
-Foodie Penpals is open to blog readers as well as bloggers. If you’re a reader and you get paired with a blogger, you are to write a short guest post for your penpal to post on their blog about what you received. If two readers are paired together, neither needs to worry about writing a post for that month.
-Foodie Penplas is open to US & Canadian residents. Please note, Canadian Residents will be paired with other Canadians only. We’ve determined things might get too slow and backed up if we’re trying to send foods through customs across the border from US to Canada and vice versa.

If you’re interested in participating for November, please CLICK HERE to fill out the participation form and read the terms and conditions.
** You must submit your information by November 4th as pairings will be emailed on November 5th! **
*If you’re from somewhere besides the US, Canada or Europe and want to participate, send Lindsey an email and she will see if we get enough interest this month!

One Response to October Food Penpal Reveal!

  1. YES to all of that stuff! I am obsessed with Biscoff butter. It was actually a part of my survival sandy stash and yes, it's way too tempting not to eat in one sitting. Those dark chocolate hazelnut bars are so hard to find up in my targets, but they are soooo good!
