Sorry that I’m late on posting my recap from the week, but I ended up spending most of my Saturday in the kitchen!
Sunday:
Rest
Monday:
I decided to try out one of the pre-programmed routines on the treadmill. Since I haven’t done much hill training, I opted for the hill intervals routine!

Tuesday:
5 minute warm up on the treadmill @ 10% incline, then upper body weights.

Wednesday & Thursday:
Wasn’t feeling too hot Wednesday and Thursday, so I didn’t work out any. I actually ended up sleeping a lot. Next week I hope to start working out on Wednesdays too instead of taking a rest day.
Friday:
Feeling much better except that over the course of the day, my eye began to form a stye. But in the morning it hadn’t formed and I felt well enough so I got in a nice 21 minute kettlebell routine. (Thank you Marianne!)

Saturday:
As I said, over the course of Friday, a stye began to form on my upper right eyelid. Friday night it began to hurt more. By the time I woke up Saturday, it hurt too bad to even get up for a run. Not to mention that I can’t wear my contact with a stye and I prefer NOT to run outside blind. So I opted for another warm compress, more eye cream, and more sleep. I stuck one contact in later that morning and took about an hour to make a Farmer’s Market and store run, then cooped myself up in the house for the rest of the day. I hate styes!

It’s not so swollen in this picture, but by the end of the day Saturday,
it puffed up more. {great.}
Did you get your fitness in this week?

oh no! I've never had a stye (knock on wood) but I've heard they are the devil! Hopefully next week you'll be all better for your workouts!

Oh they totally suck!
And they can be rather painful. Normally I can head them off by immediately starting warm compression when I feel them coming on. But this time it was a stubborn one! It got rather painful that I believe it even caused a slight headache…or maybe it was just my eye, who knows. But it is feeling much better now.
