I really wanted to blog some sort of content in this post, but I’m not going to lie…I totally spent my Tuesday evening sitting on the couch relaxing after a long stressful day at work, even getting off work late. The we had a nice thunderstorm, which made me not want to even cook dinner. And when PJ got home I stayed up just long enough to talk a bit with him and start watching America’s Got Talent before I drifted off to sleep. So here I am, sitting on the couch at 6:30am typing up this quick post. Eh, so much for sleeping in on my rest day…
Speaking of drifting off to sleep. Ever since I’ve started working out in the morning, I no longer have any insomnia! I find myself tired earlier and falling asleep earlier, which is a good thing! Falling asleep earlier means getting up earlier to get my workout done for the day!
My routine is to get up and out of bed no later than 6:30 so that I can just walk over to the next bedroom (our home gym) or go outside for a quick warm up run to start my workout. I normally workout until around 7:30-8:00 (depending on what time I actually get started after taking care of the furkids). I prefer to get in the shower by 7:30 because then it gives me plenty of time to cook a good breakfast to walk out the door with. So immediately after my workout, I grab a quick protein shake and start getting ready for work. Then I gather up some healthy snacks and my breakfast, pack my food pack and head out the door to get to work by 8:30am! If I can do it, so can you!
For those who don’t think they always have time to pack snacks and/or breakfast to take to work with you, I’m here to tell you if you make the time, it pays off! Here’s an example of my daily food pack, which took only about 5 minutes to gather and pack (not including the cook time for my breakfast omelet):
Morning workouts give me lots of energy, so if you haven’t tried it yet, then you should! And if you think you don’t have the time, you do! Just go to bed a little bit earlier…I have!
Happy WIAW, friends!
When do you get your workouts in?
What snacks are in your food pack?

I love a good morning workout! Perfect way to energise your day. Oatmeal with banana and nut butter… I like your thinking
Exactly how i started my day!
I don't know why working out makes me so tired! I would love to have the energy and strength to do this in the morning, but alas I have tried and am just not one of those people. Coffee makes it more bearable but still, it's pretty difficult for me because I'm always tired afterwards! So weird, right? Maybe I'm anemic or something. All of your juicing makes me jealous. I am asking the bf for a juicer for our 4 year anni coming up in a few weeks!

Great minds think alike!!
I think that would be a great anniversary present!!
I approve! I think he'd love it too!!!! I was never a morning person but about 9 years ago when I quit smoking i had to change up my schedule in order to fight the routine & cravings so I started working out in the mornings instead of having that cup of coffee an two cigarettes.
then I fell in love with morning workouts. I'm glad I started doing them again!
